Recently, the mayor of Victoria El Salvador placed a large ARENA party flag in the center of Santa Marta. The ARENA party (Alianza Republicana Nacionalista in Spanish, Nationalist Republican Alliance in English) is El Salvador’s right wing political party.

Rain water continues to rise as the National Assembly decrees a National State of Calamity in El Salvador for the next 60 days. President Funes announced Tuesday, October 18th, the country’s received more rain fall in the past 6 days than it has in the previous 2 months, reaching historic levels, and in some areas, more than 3 times the normal rain levels.

The letter was printed June 24th in the Colatino Newspaper of El Salvador, coinciding with his funeral.
