Ruth and Alex Orantes, featured in "Return to El Salvador", send us this message from their home in Santa Ana:
Dear friends, dear brothers and sisters,
We are in mourning in El Salvador… 124 dead, 60 missing, thousands of victims…lost materials…
In the last days we had clouds and sporadic rain. A few hours of intense rain yesterday and early morning, producing damage in rivers and mountains. Also, the cost…the poor areas of the capital city (San Salvador) have suffered a lot.
We ask you to help us with your prayers, for the families who lost loved ones, for the families who need to begin again, for the daily provision and solidarity our people need
We trust in your love for us and for our nation. God bless you.
A hug for you from your brothers and sisters of the Shekina Baptist Church.
United in pain…United in faith…United in hope…United in Solidarity
